Job summary

Hexcel in Pottsville, PA seeks a Floater Operator to support multiple front-end manufacturing operations, covering absences and capacity fluctuations. You will work with HOBE Saw, expanding, and trim saw areas, maintaining accurate inventory of Hobe and Nomex materials, and measuring expanded honeycomb with precision tools.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read production orders and routings.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and/or machine operations to cover absences and demand fluctuations.
• Work with HOBE Saw, Expanding, Femco Saw and Trim Saw front-end operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory of Hobe and Nomex materials.
• Use routings and measure L and W of expanded honeycomb.
• Follow safe handling techniques and glove policy.
• Capable of using micrometer, dial caliper or Vernier caliper.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Support team efforts and follow supervisor direction.
• Comply with Safety and Quality Management Systems and Code of Conduct.
