Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Must obtain certification in Department of Community Health Group Home Skill Training (paid through CMHA-CEI).
• Must read and follow written instructions and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Must have valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in personal care and treatment of adults with severe mental illness in residential or supported living settings.
• Support residents in daily living skills including medication management, personal care, meals, cleaning, and laundry.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed and document activities and progress.
• Transport residents to activities, appointments, and community events as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
