Job summary

Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services (PCFS), a division of Healthcare Services Group, Inc., seeks a Floater/Fill-in Cleaner to oversee janitorial cleaning and facilities maintenance at assigned sites in the Jackson, MS area.

The role is part-time and hourly; you must have reliable transportation, and be available day and night to cover shifts. No experience is required, with training provided and opportunities for growth within PCFS.

• Part-time non-exempt (hourly) position.

Responsibilities

• Inspect restrooms, restock supplies, disinfect high-touch areas and maintain cleanliness.
• Receive and complete work orders during shift.
• Respond to management requests promptly and adjust schedule as needed.
• Check elevators/cabs, disinfect buttons, and clean common areas.
• Remove trash, clean spills, and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Assist with cleaning lights, windows, stairs, and signage as needed.
• Communicate with Account Supervisor or Manager regularly.
• Cover floors when staff are unavailable and assist with floor checks.

Duties and Responsibilities.

USD $10.00 - USD $12.00 /Hr.

• Not available in AR.
• Inspect all restrooms, re-stock supplies as needed, disinfect high-touch areas, and perform any cleaning that is necessary to maintain the overall cleanliness of the space.
• Receive, acknowledge, and complete work orders that are assigned to you during your shift.
• Respond to management requests in a timely manner.
• Adjust schedule based on clients’ needs or management requests.
• Check elevator cabs and disinfect call buttons according to the provided schedule.
• Proactively address any cleaning issues that you find in common areas.
• Remove trash from trash receptacles in restrooms and common areas.
• Clean up spills as soon as possible.
• Maintain clear communication with the Account Supervisor or Account Manager.
• Clean any scuff marks from walls, furniture, baseboards, etc.
• Clean and disinfect private restrooms.
• Vacuum carpet in detail, including hard-to-reach areas behind doors, corners, edges. Maintain storage closet(s) cleaned and organized at all times.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition, and report any malfunctions to team lead or supervisor.
• Project work such as cleaning lights, lamps, window washing, etc.
• Cover floors when employees call off.
• Clean stairwells, signage, etc.
• Assist with checking floors.
• Clean escalators, elevators.
• Use miscellaneous flooring equipment as needed.
• Overall assist team lead and supervisor on whatever is needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• Be able to adapt and work as a team to ensure daily tasks, project work, requests and work orders are completed on time and within company expectations.
• Be polite and respectful with clients, guests, and co-workers.

Experience

No experience is required. Some experience is preferred.

Education

Must be 18 years of age.

Work Environment/Hours

A part-time non-exempt (hourly) position.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift items of up to 25 lbs. while moving around and perform other physical duties (i.e.,climb ladder, lifting, bending).
• Ability to spend up to 100% of the working time standing and walking.
