Job summary

Park National Corporation is seeking a Customer Service Teller to serve customers across branches in the Mansfield area. This full-time, hourly role requires delivering prompt, friendly service, accurate transaction processing, and adherence to bank procedures.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel between branches in the North Region as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve customers, prospective customers and bank associates promptly and professionally in accordance with Park Promises and Serving More standards.
  • Complete transaction processing timely, accurately, and in accordance with bank procedures.
  • Project the bank's professional reputation through knowledgeable, courteous interactions and prompt resolution of requests.
  • Refer loan and deposit customers to subject matter experts.
  • Complete ongoing product knowledge and sales-oriented training to sustain broad knowledge.
  • Utilize product knowledge to assist customers and suggest products and services.
  • Protect bank assets by adhering to all processes, policies and procedures related to security and compliance.
  • Complete periodic in-branch communication and promotion activities.
  • Communicate recommendations for improved workflow and service to customers.
  • Maintain awareness of compliance and risk management concepts and apply them daily.
  • Deliver a high level of service within our Serving More standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve customers, prospective customers and bank associates promptly and professionally and in full accordance with Park Promises and Serving More standards.
  • Complete transaction processing timely, accurately, and in accordance with bank procedures
  • Project the bank's professional reputation through knowledgeable, courteous interactions with customers and prompt resolution of requests, inquiries or issues.
  • Refer loan and deposit customers or prospects to subject matter experts
  • Complete ongoing product knowledge, digital product knowledge, financial services and sales-oriented training in addition to all required course training to sustain broad base of product, service and sales knowledge.
  • Utilize product knowledge to assist customers and suggest products and services to meet their needs
  • Protect bank assets by adhering to all processes, policies and standard operating procedures related to branch and cash security, negotiable instruments, information security, and Federal, State or Local regulations impacting teller activity and branch operations
  • Complete periodic in-branch communication and promotion activities specific to the office, if applicable.
  • Communicate recommendations for improved work flow and service to customers.
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank's compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks
  • Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards

EDUCATION - CERTIFICATIONS - WORK EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

0-2 years prior cash handling, sales, or customer service experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position must be able to remain in a stationary standing position a minimum of 75% of the time, constantly operate a computer, and be able to be in constant verbal communication with customers and coworkers to discuss and observe account information in order to exchange accurate information. Must be able to bend and lift up to 25 pounds on a daily basis; raise arms up to 90 degrees; and have dexterity in hands to find count currency.

SCHEDULE

The expectation for this role is to travel between branches in the North Region for coverage as needed. Operating and potential working hours in this region are Monday through Friday 9:00am-6:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm. The average number of Saturdays each month is 2-3. Additional weekends may be required. The home office for this position will be the Mansfield Marion Avenue Office. Expected locations to float to are: all Mansfield offices, Ontario, Bellville, Shelby, Lexington, and Galion. This position is hourly and full-time. A minimum of 37.5 hours is required to maintain eligibility for full-time status. Generally, this position will require 37.5 - 40 hours per week.
