Job summary

Acquire4Hire is seeking an assistant teacher and center cook in Wisconsin. The role runs 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., daily, with duties spanning classroom support until 11:00 a.m. and lunch preparation/cleanup for about 40 students and staff from 11:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Complete and document at least 4 hours of training in kitchen sanitation, food handling, and nutrition initially, and one hour of training in kitchen sanitation, food handling, and nutrition annually thereafter. (as required by WI DCF)
• Able to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Enjoy working in a program with children and other staff

Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
• Apportion and serve food to students.
• Cook foodstuffs according to menus, or numbers of portions to be served.
• Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment.
• Serve food or beverages.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
• Cook foods.
• Cut cooked or raw foods.
• Prepare foods for cooking or serving.
