Job summary

Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care, Float Team in Indiana is seeking a PRN RN for night shifts (7pm–7am) to provide direct patient care in a hybrid ER/urgent care setting.

You will float among southern Indiana and Kentucky freestanding EDs, including Jefferson Ridge, Blankenbaker, and future Glenmary locations, supporting patients, families, and staff with professionalism. This role requires flexibility to rotate across sites and deliver high-quality, compassionate care around the clock.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana RN license; compact state accepted.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• PALS and ACLS required within 12 months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 10 weeks of hire.
• ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate on an ER/Urgent Care team and with float assignments.
• Float between southern Indiana and Kentucky freestanding EDs as needed.

Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care, Float Team

PRN, Nights (7pm-7am)

Job Duties:

In this role, theRN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers in an ER/Urgent Care setting. Also in this role, the RN will float between southern Indiana and Kentucky freestanding EDs including Jefferson Ridge, Blankenbaker, and the future Glenmary location.

About the Department:

This hybrid emergency room and urgent care provides both types of care to patients conveniently under one roof. Patients will receive the appropriate level of care in a simple, cost effective one-stop location. The emergency room will provide care on a 24/7 basis with transport services available to handle high-acuity emergency situations needing surgery. Nurses at this location will have a background or training in emergency care. On-site imaging and laboratory services are also available.

Qualifications:

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.

BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

PALS required within 12 months of hire.

ACLS required within 12 months of hire.

NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 10 weeks of hire.

Previous ER experience preferred.
