Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process, from assessment to evaluation, within the Float Pool. You will coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established standards and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes.

BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed within specified timelines. This role supports the hospital's mission, serving diverse patients in the night shift (1900-0700) in the Float

Qualifications

• Current and active Texas RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of department start date.
• PALS within 6 months of department start date.

Job Summary

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Work Experience

One year of experience as a Registered Nurse is required, preferably in a hospital-based acute care setting.

License/Registration/Certification

• Current and active license to practice as a RegisteredNurse in the State of Texas is required.
• Current BLS training is required.
• Completion of the ACLS training is required to be completed within 6 months of being in the department.
• Completion of the PALS training is required to be completed within 6 months of being in the department.

Education and Training

• Bachelor degree in Nursing is required.
• TNCC or ATCN is required to be obtained within 1 year of being in the department.
• Completion of CPI course is required within 1 year of being in the department.
• Completion of the ENPCcourse is required within 1 year of being in the department.
