Job summary

DuPont Surgery Ctr in St Matthews, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse to float across Pre-Op, PACU, and OR. The full-time, on-site role supports patient flow, safety, and efficient daily operations.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license and BLS/ACLS certification, capable of adapting to multiple surgical areas and maintaining strict infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, develops and implements total nursing care for the pre-operative patient.
• Records and reports symptoms, reactions and changes in patients.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by the physician.
• Cares for pre-operative patients and discharges them per policy.
• Reviews pre-operative charts for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares the operating room and ensures equipment and supplies are ready.
