Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or preferred.
• Current New York RN license required.
• ACLS preferred; BCLS certification required.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited program within 24 months of employment and obtain a BSN within five years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physiologic health status through interviews and chart reviews.
• Evaluate GI, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition to adjust care plans.
• Communicate and document patients' health status and care plans.
• Assess psychosocial health status and identify cultural needs.
• Develop criteria for measuring patient outcomes and establish goals.
• Coordinate plan of care with healthcare team members.
• Implement plan of care while ensuring safety precautions.
• Administer medications correctly and educate patients on drug interactions.
• Participate in patient and family education, evaluating teaching effectiveness.
