Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Float RN with 1+ year of experience to support Primary Care and Specialty clinics across IU Health Metro Ambulatory locations. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays, part-time 24 hours weekly, and flexibility in assignments.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of clinical experience, an active Indiana RN license (or NLC), and an ASN with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN.
• BSN preferred.
• Requires active RN license in Indiana or a valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.
• May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth patient flow and assist with examinations.
• Collect patient information and perform general lab work.
• Provide patient education and clerical support.
• Complete triage duties and coordinate care across clinic settings.
• Support multiple ambulatory locations with flexible assignments.
