Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to join our Float Staff across Mayo Clinic Hospital SMC and RMC. The RN will coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and support transitions of care in medical, surgical, and specialty units.

A strong emphasis on teamwork, leadership, and quality improvement is evident throughout the role. New graduates may apply via the Nurse Residency Program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN, CCNE, NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS (basic life support) must be valid for 90 days post start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and patient education across units and shifts.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and potential committee involvement.
• Duties may include leadership roles and quality improvement efforts.
• May be required to drive personal vehicle as part of the role.
