Job summary

Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our night-shift team. You will provide direct, patient-centered care across units, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

The Float RN role requires flexibility to work in multiple units, strong communication with physicians and families, and a commitment to privacy and quality care at Monroe Hospital.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificates required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting.
• BSN preferred.
• Ability to float into critical care areas within scope.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Float RN can be assigned to two or more units based on need and will maintain competency.
• Provide direct patient care and guide patient/family teaching and activities of nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
