Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in the US
• English language proficiency per VA requirements
• Licensure options for bridge programs or foreign graduates as applicable
• Foreign education evaluation if required
• Basic requirements including health and background standards
• Ability to obtain and maintain state licensure and meet VA qualification standards

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in multiple units
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on age-specific needs
• Coordinate patient education, self-management and care across continuum
• Delegate tasks per nursing judgment and policy
• Administer medications and procedures per established policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve care outcomes
