Job summary

Coshocton Regional Medical Center in Coshocton, Ohio, is seeking a Float Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (12 hours). The RN will deliver safe patient care across multiple units using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians, patients, and families.

The role requires a valid state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with at least one year of acute care experience preferred. BSN is preferred, and the ability to float to two or more units is essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (ARC/AHA) required upon hire and stay current.
• Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) required within 30 days of hire and stay current.
• Current PALS (ARC/AHA) required within 30 days of hire and stay current.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Float to two or more units based on need and maintain competency in all units.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Float RN can be assigned to two (2) or more units based on need and will maintain competency to practice in all units. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The RN also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients on an assigned unit. She/he/them communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
