Job summary

SSM Health Day Institute in Bridgeton, MO seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient rehabilitation team as a Float PTA. The role requires dual licensure eligibility for MO and IL and involves floating between eastern locations, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting with therapy plans under supervision, coordinating with licensed PT, and contributing to patient education.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a PTA program is required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA is required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a licensed PT, assist with the therapy plan of care.
• Delegate and direct supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance care.
• Communicate with supervising PT about scheduled patients and reassessment needs.
• Educate patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Perform other professional duties related to patient care within scope of practice.

Education

Associate’s Degree in PTA program
