Job summary

UPMC in Erie region seeks a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatments per the plan of care and adjust approaches based on patient responses. This float position supports outpatient clinics and collaborates with supervising physical therapists.

Responsibilities include documenting services, supervising staff, transporting patients as needed, and contributing to high-quality patient care while maintaining orderly work areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the APTA.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy treatment per plan of care and updates supervising PT.
• Recommends changes to the plan of care based on patient response.
• Maintains neat, orderly work area and directs therapy volunteers.
• Transports patients safely and timely as needed for outpatient clinics.
• Completes charge/statistical information reflecting services rendered.
• Rotates through treatment areas to assist with Erie region clinics.
• Maintains comprehensive written/electronic documentation of services.
• Schedules to meet facility productivity standards.
• Implements treatment programs under PT supervision and adjusts as needed.
