Job summary

ScionHealth in California is seeking an RN to join the orange county float pool supporting Santa Ana, Brea and Westminster hospitals. The role provides direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process, with an emphasis on assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

The compensation includes a pay range of $44.38 to $55.18 per hour, plus an $8 hourly float pool premium. RN licensure, BCLS required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing. (Required)
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. (Preferred)
• Registered Nurse (RN) – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of practice. (Required upon hire)
• Basic Life Support (BCLS). (Required upon hire)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). (Preferred upon hire)
• Six (6) months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Maintains the standard of nursing care and implements policies and procedures of the hospital and nursing department.
• Directs, supervises, provides and evaluates nursing care provided to patients.
• Assigns or delegates tasks based on patient needs and staff capabilities within scope of practice.
• Documents patient admission assessment and reassessments, and care plans in the medical record.
• Assists physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Initiates or assists with emergency measures for sudden patient condition changes.
