Job summary

Valley Medical Center & Clinics seeks a Patient Care Assistant - Float Pool to perform routine nursing tasks under supervision, supporting the Nurse Float team at VMC Main Campus in Renton, WA.

The role requires WA CNA licensure, BLS, and phlebotomy certification (or within 90 days). Prior patient care experience is preferred; 0.9 FTE with daytime shifts. This position reports to the Nurse Manager and offers opportunities in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice in the State of Washington as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
• AHA BLS for healthcare providers required.
• One (1) Year Patient Care Experience, Preferred.
• MA - Phlebotomy certification, required (or must obtain within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine nursing services under the supervision of a professional nurse or CAR.
• Assists with patient care tasks and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Demonstrates safe use of patient care equipment and reports concerns to nursing staff.
