Job summary

The Clinical Nurse for the Mount Sinai nursing float pool is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients on a variety of assigned units.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, educating patients and families, and ensuring smooth patient throughput while maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in New York.
• BSN preferred; ADN with enrollment in BSN program acceptable.
• Current New York State RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Certificate may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Perform charge nurse duties and coordinate unit operations.
• Document accurately to comply with hospital and regulatory standards.
