AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Full-time Night Shift Nursing Assistant to support the care team. You will assist in delivering patient care, document procedures, and participate in patient assessments under RN guidance.

Required are a high school diploma, BLS/CPR and CNA or equivalent certification to join a compassionate, teamwork-focused unit. The role emphasizes safety, learning, and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification is required.
• CNA OR CPCT/A OR NCPCT OR PCT-C OR EMT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity and culture.
• Recognizes clinical emergencies and acts accordingly.
• Supports quality standards and performance improvement initiatives.
• Adheres to isolation guidelines and uses protective equipment properly.
• Learns continuously and upgrades skills.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Keeps environment clean and safe for patients and staff.
• Assists in delivering patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports procedures per department policy.
• Supports nursing history collection and reports abnormalities to the RN.
• Identifies patient needs and assists as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
