Job summary

The True North Consultants, Inc. team seeks a Phlebotomist to support multiple locations in the Glen Burnie, MD area. This float role involves covering a primary site while occasionally traveling to nearby offices, with mileage reimbursement and benefits available.

The position requires pediatric and geriatric experience, with a 3-month contract term and potential for permanent placement. Shifts are 8 hours on a 1st shift schedule, including one Saturday per month.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Experience performing venipunctures in fast-paced labs or hospitals.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients.
• Match lab requisitions to specimens and ensure labeling accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and handle temperature requirements.
• Attend annual department trainings and maintain records.
• Answer inquiries and communicate results as needed.
