Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I (Float) for travel across multiple Charleston-area sites including North Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, West Ashley, Goose Creek, Summerville, and Walterboro.

The role requires venipuncture and specimen collection across locations with mileage reimbursed for travel between sites. The position supports patient care and specimen collection services in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Phlebotomy Certification (if required by state regulations).
• Minimum of 6 months of recent phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience performing venipunctures and specimen collections.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages.
• Identify patients and accurately label specimens.
• Collect, process, centrifuge, aliquot, package, and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain collection procedures clearly to patients.
• Utilize collection equipment as needed and ensure proper requisition matching.
• Maintain specimen integrity through proper handling, storage, and transport.
