Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Client Office Phlebotomist-Float to perform phlebotomy across client sites in the Geneva area and surrounding suburbs. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a Monday–Friday schedule and two weekends per month; occasional early/late adjustments may be required.

Base hourly rate includes float differential compensation. The position emphasizes patient care, safety, and teamwork and requires driving to client sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification from a recognized organization or training is required or one year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards.
• Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care.
• Identifies need for patient medical assistance and calls code as appropriate.
• Reviews/Records refrigerator temperature(s) and QC/QA records; reports findings to supervisor.
• Uses requisitions and labels specimens appropriately; processes specimens per protocols.
