Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing, seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join its Columbus, OH team. The role covers multiple sites with a Mon-Fri schedule and Saturday rotations, collecting blood from patients of all ages and handling data entry and specimen processing.

You will support patient service with professionalism and accurate workflow. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent phlebotomy training.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• At least 3 months of phlebotomy experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team at Homesite is 810 Jasonway Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43214. Will cover at varying locations Work Schedule: Monday – Friday between the scheduled hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm Saturday rotation 8:00am to 12:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old
• Able to pass Ohio Department of Corrections background check

Pay Range

$17.75 - $25.92 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive

Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
