Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing, seeks a Float Phlebotomist to cover Tulsa area sites (OK). You will perform venipuncture, collect samples across age groups, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy training; prior LabCorp experience is preferred. You may travel between sites and participate in incentives for performance and coverage efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital setting.
• 1+ year experience assisting patients across age groups (pediatric to geriatric).
• Current or prior LabCorp experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training program acceptable in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation required.

LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Tulsa, OK area (74136) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 6:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Will primarily cover sites in Tulsa / Broken Arrow/ Bartlesville, OK.
• On occasion may be requested to cover sites in McAlester / Muskogee (up to approximately 75 miles +)
• Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Float Incentive:

• Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
• *QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM
• Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
