Job Overview

We seek a Float Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Geno mental health Pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions, and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm EST

Location

Your main site will be 24424 West McNichols Road, Detroit, MI 48219, but you will need to be able to travel to other sites for PTO and call out coverage. The other sites are located in Saginaw, Lapeer, Southgate, Southfield, Redford, Lincoln Park, Clinton Township, and Pontiac, MI.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  2. Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  3. Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
  4. Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
  5. Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
  6. Assist the Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
  7. Perform clerical duties related to the department
  8. Communicate professionally via verbal and written means
  9. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Michigan
  • 2+ years recent Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites
Preferred
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
Compensation

Hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, based on experience, certifications, and location. Benefits and incentives are included.
