Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Float Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy network. The role mainly dispenses prescriptions and handles clerical tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist across all 12 Tucson locations.

Hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm, with a midday lunch break. Requires AZ license, reliable transport, and ability to cover multiple sites. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/Vision, 401(k), and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Arizona Pharmacy Technician license.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license.
• Ability to cover all 12 sites in the Tucson area.
• Ability to work 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinics.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the pharmacist.
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Assist pharmacist in pharmacy functions and stay compliant with federal and state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written skills.
• Coverage across 12 Tucson sites as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Float Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours: Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:30pm

Location: Home site is 1210 E. Pennsylvania St. Tucson, AZ and will be responsible for coverage across all 12 Tucson locations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coverall 12 sites in the Tucson area
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license
• Ability to cover all 12 sites in the Tucson area
• Ability to work office hours Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
• Bilingual in Spanish
