Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Float Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Geno mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Location is Edina, MN with potential travel to other MN sites.

Hours are 7:30am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday; must hold an active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license and have access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation and travel to MN sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
• Fill prescription orders under direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Order, receive and store pharmacy supplies.
• Process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify stock and enter data in the computer to maintain inventory.
• Assist the Pharmacist and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

We seek a Float PharmacyTechnician to supportallfunctionsoftheGenoamentalhealthpharmacy,primarilythroughdispensingmedicalprescriptions,andperformingnecessary clericaldutieswhileunderthedirect supervisionof aRegisteredPharmacist.

Hours: You will be working between the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Friday (specific hours will be determined on the site you will be covering for the day)

Location: You will be based out of the Edina area, but when business needs arise, you will also need to be willing to travel to sites throughout MN, for example: Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Cloud, and Mankato

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Minnesota
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
• Ability to use your own car to get to each location as business needs arise

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacyand prescription data entry experience

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
