Job summary

511 Aurora Pharmacy, Inc. is seeking a pharmacy technician float to support our southeastern Wisconsin locations. This full-time role involves assisting pharmacists, preparing and labeling medications, and handling inventory tasks.

You will engage in both nonsterile and sterile compounding where applicable and ensure accurate data entry for billing and patient records. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a CPhT or ExCPT certification within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT within 18 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen and route phone calls with proper etiquette.
• Complete documentation for controlled substances removal, stocking, and wasting.
• Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards where applicable.
• Perform sterile IV admixture where applicable.
• Ensure medication storage areas comply with policies and standards.
• Record patient demographics and data entry into the pharmacy system for record keeping and billing.
