Job summary

UNFI is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our Minnesota team. The role focuses on filling prescriptions accurately in compliance with laws and company policies, providing professional consultation, and collaborating with physicians, customers, and peers.

Responsibilities include maintaining records for controlled substances, handling hazardous drugs per SOPs, and participating in clinical programs. The position requires a state license and a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy, plus immunizer

Qualifications

  • Must have a college degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD) and hold a valid state license.
  • Meets all requirements of and maintains status as a Certified Immunizer.
  • Must complete continuing education hours as required by state, federal and company training programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Maintains all state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.
  • Accesses the pharmacy computer to obtain complete patient record and verifies third party plan parameters.
  • Complies with standard operating procedures in handling and dispensing of hazardous drugs.

Job Requirements

Physical Requirements
  • Visual requirements include clarity of vision at more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with color vision, depth perception and field of vision.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
  • Position may require periodic travel throughout assigned area by car.
  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
