Job summary

Aylo Health, LLC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a primary/family practice under the supervision of a physician or advanced practitioner. You will care for patients from children to geriatrics, supporting exam rooms and diagnostic procedures.

You will measure vitals, assist with injections and labs, and ensure EMR entries are accurate. Travel to nearby offices may be required; strong organizational and team skills are essential for delivering high-quality patient

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent education.
• LPN completion with current license.
• MA certification/registration required.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• 6+ months experience in a clinical private practice preferred.
• Ability to travel to nearby offices as needed.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills.
• Professional communication and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information in EMR (eClinicalWorks).
• Prepares exam rooms and assists with instruments and equipment.
• Sterilizes instruments and cleans exam rooms.
• Inspects patient rooms for cleanliness and comfort.
• Administers injections or treatments and draws blood.
• Performs routine laboratory tests and monitors procedures.
• Operates diagnostic equipment for routine tests.
• Enters data into EMR, records vitals, and performs EKG/spirometry.
• Schedules patients for tests and procedures.
• Calls in and prescribes required medications.
• Inventories medical supplies and maintains stock.
• Adheres to standards of care, HIPAA, and Code of Conduct.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
• Maintains a clean and tidy office environment.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Certified Medical Assistant provides patient care in a primary/family care practice under the direction of a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner. In this role, the certified medical assistant serves patients of all ages including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records patient information in electronic medical records system (eClinicalWorks)
• Prepares exam rooms for patients, and setup and assist with instruments and equipment
• Clean and sterilize instruments and exam rooms
• Inspect patient rooms for cleanliness, comfort, and sanitary conditions
• Give injections or treatment and draws blood
• Perform routine laboratory tests, start, monitors, and discontinue
• Operate diagnostic equipment to administer routine tests
• Key data into electronic medical records; vital signs, performs EKG, spirometry and or other similar office procedures
• Schedule patients for tests and procedures
• Call in, fax and/or e-prescribing required medication
• Inventory and stock medical supplies and materials
• Adhere to all standards of care, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA Compliance
• Assist with other duties as assigned
• General cleaning duties to ensure that the office remains clean and tidy for both patients and staff

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• High School graduate or equivalent education
• LPN- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program with a current practical nurse license
• MA- Current Medical Assistant Certification/Registration required
• Current Basic Life Support card from the American Heart Association
• 6 months+ years working experience in a clinical private practice setting preferred
• Ability to travel to nearby offices as needed
• Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, prioritize, and facilitate many on-going tasks
• Must be organized and attentive to detail, and able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction

• Positive attitude and ability to effectively work in a team environment
