Job summary

AMR is seeking a Float Paramedic to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care and support across multiple regions. You may respond to 911 calls and use advanced equipment to provide life-saving interventions while maintaining patient comfort and communication.

Requirements include a High school diploma or GED, Kansas/Missouri Paramedic certifications, a State Driver’s License, and BLS/ACLS on hire (PALS preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire; PALS preferred.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine best course of action.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction, and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
