Job summary

AMR in Parkville, MO is hiring Float Paramedics to deliver high-quality patient care and to support emergency responses across multiple locations. The role includes leading the Paramedic team on scenes and driving ambulances on 911 calls.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Kansas/Missouri Paramedic certifications, a valid state driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS at hire. PALS preferred. Prior healthcare experience is favored.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Float Paramedics may work shifts in Kansas City, KS, Pleasanton/Linn County, KS, and Cass County/Harrisonville, MO.

This is a full-time position.

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
