Job summary

AMR in the United States is seeking a Float Paramedic to provide compassionate, high-quality, advanced patient care across multiple Kansas and Missouri service areas. This full-time role offers varied shifts and the opportunity to serve communities in Kansas City, Pleasanton, and Cass County.

You will assess calls, apply Paramedic protocols, operate defibrillator and monitoring equipment, lead scenes, drive the ambulance on 911 responses, and collaborate closely with other public safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Paramedic certification KS/MO.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• BLS and ACLS required on hire.
• PALS preferred but not required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

FLOAT PARAMEDIC $57,200.00 - $69,212.00 / year depending on experience

We’re hiring

Float

Paramedics

who are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

Float Paramedics may work shifts in Kansas City, KS, Pleasanton/Linn County, KS, and Cass County/Harrisonville, MO.

This is a full-time position.

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequired

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.

• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.
