Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Washington state seeks a Float MRI Technologist to join our team. You will operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images and provide patient-centered care across Seattle, Everett, and Issaquah locations.

This full-time role requires strong safety awareness, excellent customer service, and the ability to adapt to multiple sites while maintaining imaging protocols.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registration current and in good standing.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanner to produce diagnostic images for physicians.
  • Screen and prepare patients, ensuring correct identity and safety.
  • Explain procedures and position patients for scanning.
  • Adjust MRI parameters as needed and document in RIS.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and equipment; comply with accreditation requirements.
  • Assist in training new team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.50 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Float MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Float MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Shifts are Sat - Sun (12 hours in our Seattle clinic), Wed (8 hours in our Everett clinic), and Fri (8 hours in our Issaquah clinic).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
  7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
(5%) MRI Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Required:
  1. High School diploma, or equivalent
  2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
  4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  7. Certification in imaging specialty

  1. Bilingual
