Job summary

Labcorp in Redmond, WA is seeking a Float Medical Lab Technician for a night shift (Wed-Sat 10:00 PM–8:30 AM) with occasional coverage at Issaquah. The role requires cross-site competency and travel between Redmond and Issaquah labs to support testing and operations.

The position emphasizes accurate testing, adherence to SOPs, and strong teamwork. An Associate’s in Life Science and ASCP/AMT certification are required, with comprehensive benefits and overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competency at both laboratory sites through cross-site training and coverage.
• Occasional travel to Issaquah laboratory to support staffing needs.
• Provide laboratory support at Redmond and Issaquah locations.
• Determine specimen acceptability for testing per SOPs.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs and troubleshoot equipment.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed.
• Assist with processing of specimens when required.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.

LabCorp is seeking a Float Medical Lab Technician to join our team in Redmond, WA

Work Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday night shift 10:00PM-8:30AM including rotating holidays.

Position is primarily based in Redmond, WA, with occasional coverage at the Issaquah laboratory as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain competency at both laboratory sites through periodic cross-site training and coverage.
• Travel to the Issaquah laboratory on an occasional basis to support operational and staffing needs.
• Provide laboratory support at both the Redmond and Issaquah locations as needed.
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology ASCP or AMT certification

Pay Range: $27.91 - $41.93 per hour Plus 3RD shift differential

Benefits:

• Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333) hours of sick leave for each hour of work) capped at 64 hours per year, Tuition Reimbursement and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
