Job summary

Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to join our expanding clinical team.

The ideal candidate will travel between assigned clinics, provide clinical and administrative support, and help ensure a positive patient experience.

Candidates should have CMA/RMA certification, MA program, high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license; 1–2 years of medical office experience is preferred.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education and Certification

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
• Current certification as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) if applicable.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required for travel between assigned clinics.

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years clinical experience in a medical office or outpatient clinic preferred.
• Experience working with multiple providers or in different clinical settings preferred.
• Experience in urology or specialty practice setting is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Flexibility to accommodate daily changes in clinic assignments, provider schedules, and work locations.
• Ability to support multiple providers with varying clinical workflows and preferences.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to maintain consistent patient care across locations.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA guidelines and infection control practices.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with different clinical teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to assist wherever coverage is needed.
