Job summary

UTHealth Houston Neurosciences is seeking a Float Medical Assistant III to join a clinical team. The role includes scheduling, patient intakes, coordinating referrals, coordinating care, and triaging calls, with prior surgical practice experience a plus.

The position is based at FLOAT - TMC with regular travel to Southeast, Southwest, Sugarland, TMC, and Bellaire locations. The team offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities in a world‑renowned medical institution.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required by AHA.
• MA certifications listed in qualifications: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical and clerical tasks to support patient care.
• Schedules patient visits, referrals, tests and procedures.
• Triages patient calls and assists with routine procedures.
• Maintains room readiness and stock for clinic operations.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
