Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support across multiple Primary and Specialty Care settings. The Float Team travels the region to deliver care, with shifts Monday through Friday, offering diverse experience and opportunities for growth within a supportive MA ladder.

The role includes patient care, front-dance scheduling, chart prep, referrals and in-house assistance, with location in Hartford and surrounding offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic or Medic Certification; credentials must be maintained throughout employment.
• Certified BLS/CPR from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• All required credentials must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, medication and allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
• Point of care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Administrative support including scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations and transportation.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
