Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to provide coverage across multiple practices in our Atlanta network, floating between offices to assist physicians and physician assistants in a medical office setting.

The role requires nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety and personal needs, with shifts from 8a to 5p across assigned sites in the Atlanta network.

Qualifications

• One year healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military Medic course.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Floats to various offices as assigned to assist physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
• Performs a variety of patient care duties within a multidisciplinary team as delegated by physician.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Floats to various offices as assigned to assist physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

PREFERRED:

• One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military Medic course
