Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Float Medical Assistant to rotate every 13 weeks across outpatient practices within a 30-mile radius of Northside Atlanta in Sandy Springs. This Monday–Friday role offers variety and the chance to broaden clinical experience across specialties.

You will float to multiple offices, provide nursing assistance and patient care, and support physicians and mid-level providers within a multidisciplinary team as directed by clinicians.

Qualifications

• One year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Visual color acuity screening required for specific units.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support comfort, safety and needs.
• Float to outpatient offices within a 30-mile radius of Northside Atlanta in Sandy Springs.

Our Float Medical Assistants rotate every 13 weeks among outpatient practices within a 30-mile radius of Northside Atlanta in Sandy Springs. This Monday–Friday role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, adaptability, and expanding their clinical experience across multiple specialties.

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Floats to various offices as assigned to assist physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Required

• One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.


• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.


• Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.

Preferred

• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military Medic course.
