Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Float Dentist to join our team. This full-time position will primarily be based in Michigan City, IN, but will also cover time off at our other five locations as needed. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing high-quality dental care and have strong leadership abilities to supervise Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists. Additionally, the Float Dentist will work closely with other dental providers and the Chief Dental Officer to ensure the delivery of patient-centered care.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted Indiana dental license.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a not-for-profit environment is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and clinic needs.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant dental laws and regulations.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in a community health or non-profit setting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
