Job summary

Concerto Renal Services is seeking a Float Dialysis Nurse to support multiple facilities in Georgia, traveling regionally as needed. You will provide direct hemodialysis care, educate patients on renal health, and supervise dialysis technicians to ensure high-quality care.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, team-oriented, and possess strong communication skills. A current RN license and BLS, with at least 1 year of nursing experience (dialysis preferred), are required; the role includes a

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and possess a valid RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; dialysis experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Must pass Ishihara Color Blindness Test for clinical accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform prolonged standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct hemodialysis care and educate patients on renal health and self-care.
• Assess patients, administer medications, and monitor responses to treatment.
• Delegate tasks to dialysis technicians and supervise their performance.
• Monitor treatment plans, adjust settings as needed, and document interventions and outcomes.
• Coordinate care with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of treatment.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and comply with safety and regulatory standards.

The Float Dialysis Nurse functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients. As a Floater, the Dialysis Nurse is not assigned to one facility and is expected to travel across the Region as needed to fill in for staff on vacation or leave.
