Job summary

Concerto Renal Services is seeking a Float Dialysis Technician to join our regional team. This role travels between facilities to provide safe and effective dialysis care under licensed nurse supervision, ensuring high standards of patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include performing treatments, monitoring vitals, operating dialysis machines, documenting care, and maintaining a clean, compliant environment while delivering compassionate service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Dialysis certification required.
• Minimum of two years dialysis technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Monitor vitals, weight, and vascular access.
• Set up, operate, and safety-check dialysis machines.
• Document treatments and prepare lab specimens.

The Float Dialysis Technician functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients. As a Floater, the Dialysis Technician is not assigned to one facility and is expected to travel across the Region as needed to fill in for staff on vacation or leave. Works under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with Concerto’s policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set for by state and federal agencies.What Will You Do?Direct Patient CareProvides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders.Vital Signs & MonitoringObtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.Dialysis Machine OperationSets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin as permitted by state law.Documentation & Lab WorkAccurately documents patient treatment details and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed.Customer Service & EnvironmentDelivers excellent service to patients, families, and staff, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.You Might Be a Fit If You are…Compassionate and EmpatheticA Critical Thinker and Problem-SolverAn Individual who Thrives in a Team EnvironmentAn Individual with Excellent Communication SkillsPurpose-drivenWhat’s Required?High School Diploma or equivalent.Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit.Able to meet the physical demands of the position.Minimum of two (2) years of dialysis technician experience.Dialysis certification required.Schedule Flexibility: Must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work up to 5 days per week based on operational needs.
