Job summary

Physicians' Clinic of Iowa is seeking a full-time Float Certified Medical Assistant or RN for our Hematology and Oncology Department. You will deliver high-quality patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced practice.

Responsibilities include patient vitals, triage calls, medication administration, and coordination of referrals in a busy oncology setting. CPR is required or obtainable within 90 days; EMR proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or RN license/certification required.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Proficient in EMR and related computer systems.
• Excellent communication, professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate patients, including vitals and nurse visits.
• Triage patient calls and document in EHR with follow-up within 24 hours.
• Administer medications and injections; assist with bone marrow procedures.
• Educate patients and monitor treatment response.
• Follow treatment protocols and manage side effects.
• Coordinate referrals; track lab, pathology, reports; manage admissions and transfusions.
• Transport patients between exam rooms and chemo sub wait areas; act as a scribe as needed.
