Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Lexington, KY seeks a Float Certified Medical Assistant to provide versatile clinical and administrative support across departments, ensuring smooth patient care and efficient operations.

You will triage patients, assist providers with exams and procedures, document patient records in the EHR, maintain a clean clinical environment, and adapt quickly to diverse settings while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with float assignment.
• Ability to triage patients and assist with examinations.
• Experience documenting records in electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• General patient care following established standards.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies and medications.
• Collect urine samples or draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis as needed.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered (oral, injectable, topical, etc.).
• May perform routine tests such as EKGs.
