Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Group is seeking a Float Certified Medical Assistant to provide versatile clinical and administrative support across multiple departments. You will triage patients, assist providers with examinations and procedures, manage patient records digitally, and maintain a clean clinical environment.

The role requires outstanding adaptability, strong clinical skills, and a proactive, patient-centered demeanor to support optimal patient flow and high-quality care wherever assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification as CMA or equivalent is required at hire.
  • CPR/BLS certification is required at hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide versatile clinical and administrative support across departments.
  • Triage patients, assist providers with examinations and procedures.
  • Record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight.
  • Collect urine samples and blood as needed, prepare specimens for lab analysis.
  • Administer medications or vaccines as ordered, in various routes.
  • Maintain clean, organized clinical environment and digital patient records.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Float Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide versatile clinical and administrative support across various departments, ensuring seamless patient care and operational efficiency throughout our facilities. Every day you will expertly triage patients, assist providers with examinations and procedures, manage patient records digitally, and meticulously maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adapting seamlessly to diverse settings. To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong clinical skills, and a proactive, patient-centered demeanor, contributing significantly to optimal patient flow and high-quality care wherever assigned.

  • Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  • Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
  • Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
  • May be required to collect urine drug specimens, draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Administer ordered medications and /or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and /or nasal administration.
  • May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKGs.
  • $3000 Sign on bonus available for eligible hires!
