At New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, certified nursing assistants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. We serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families, partnering with Nurses, ICU Technicians, and others. Responsibilities include monitoring blood pressure and temperature, ensuring delivery of meals, and safe patient transport. Bring your smile and energy to create a welcoming environment, providing comfort and care as a certified nurse’s aide to keep our fast-paced environment running smoothly.

Perform compassionate patient-focused care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to high-quality patient care.

• Float to various hospital units such as Med-Surg, Critical Care, Psychiatry, Emergency Department, or where needed.

This is a full-time night position (11:45pm-7:45am) at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

· At least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital setting.

Required Criteria

· High school diploma or GED

· Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current enrollment in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program with at least one clinical rotation completed.

· Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Basic computer skills
