Requirements and Description
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Lead Journeyman Electrician to join our team at the Fort Lauderdale- Hollywood location. The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience. They must also display mechanical and electrical aptitude and strong skills and experience with industrial control devices. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and control devices, equipment, and components associated with the baggage handling system, including controls, PLCs, scanner systems, etc. In addition, the Lead Journeyman Electrician shall be competent and versed in the operation and maintenance of all equipment and systems specified in this scope of work and/or services. The Lead Journeyman Electrician shall have excellent leadership, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills and shall be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing the English language. The Lead Journeyman Electrician shall be responsible for the maintenance services of all equipment and services specified herein from the main equipment disconnect to the end device.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in a related field.
  2. Strong skills and experience with industrial control devices.
  3. Attention to detail to make precise, accurate measurements.
  4. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as Journeyman Electricians may troubleshoot and repair issues in the field.
  5. Certified electrician with a minimum “Journeyman” status: industrial electrical motor control experience and electrical automation experience.
Standard Qualifications:
  1. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  2. Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
  3. Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
  4. Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
  5. Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces.
  6. Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.
  7. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  8. Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
  9. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
