Flint MI Virtual Learning Special Educator - K-12 Multi-Categorical Support Specialist

VocoVision is seeking a versatile Special Education Teacher to provide virtual support services to K-12 students with various exceptionalities in Flint, Michigan. Our remote education platform connects qualified educators with students who need specialized instruction regardless of location barriers.

Position Details
  • Full-time position (35-37.5 hours weekly)
  • K-12 multi-categorical support across all grade levels
  • Diverse caseload of approximately 50-60 students
  • Focus on academic intervention and behavioral support
  • Combination of direct instruction and consultative services
Core Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with Michigan state standards
  • Implement appropriate accommodations and modifications for virtual learning
  • Conduct regular progress monitoring using data-driven assessment strategies
  • Collaborate with school-based teams to ensure consistent support
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings with educational teams and families
  • Provide guidance on assistive technology and accessibility tools
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all services provided
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Special Education
  • Active Michigan special education teaching license
  • Minimum 2 years of school-based special education experience
